About Us
Members Own Social Enterprise & Services (MOSES) is a social enterprise that aims to provide employment for people with psychiatric disabilities. It is also partnership driven and managed by members and staff of Simei Care Centre. Individuals of psychiatric disabilities often face difficulties in getting a job in the society. The major hurdles that hinder them in securing a job include the employers’ unwillingness to employ people with psychiatric disabilities and their frequent medical appointments. Thus, MOSES was specially created as a means for clients to showcase their own products and/ services to the community. In addition, it is also a platform to develop a keen sense of entrepreneur spirit amongst the clients. In MOSES, you can find innovative and original hand-made products that are designed by the clients, staff and volunteers in Simei Care Centre. Profits from the sale of these products are given as allowances to the clients who produced them. By patronizing in MOSES, you are actually doing a good cause which helps the clients in Simei Care Centre. |
